LOHS is committed to helping our students be successful. Listed below are current
interventions that are available to our parents and students.

Interventions for Parents and Students

 

Use School Loop for…

● Communication with Teachers
● Login to School Loop to check and email teachers
● Monitor grades and assignments
● Sign up for School Loop alerts
● Check class calendars and teachers lockers
● Check assignments/homework online
● View school news/events
● Submit work electronically

 

To Help Monitor Student Progress…...

● Call teachers to discuss:

  • Student academic progress and/or behavioral concerns
  • Concerns about grades and tests
  • Set up appointments to discuss any of the above in person

● Call counselors:

  • Discuss a plan of action
  • To set up meetings with teachers (if needed)

● Weekly progress reports (click here for form)
● Daily or weekly assignment logs (click here for form)

Attend Peer and Teacher Tutoring to seek help and assistance

● Get free tutoring on Monday through Thursday (all subjects)

  • Before school in the Library
  • During lunch in the Library
  • After school in the Library
  • Get free tutoring in select rooms on select days (check with your teacher for availability)

Attend Grizzly Success (4G Saturday School):

● To improve and enhance each student's academic performance teachers will offer:

  • Additional instruction in various content areas
  • Review material

● Saturday school takes place on select Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm
